| Pendant with “Berehynia” and the Ukrainian national salute “Glory to Ukraine!”.
This work complements the project with Archangel Michael. At the customer’s request, the Berehynia sculpture, which is also located on Independence Square in Kyiv, was taken as a basis, …and I slightly adapted it according to my vision and the specifics of this project. This piece continues the theme of national symbolism, translating a well–known cultural image into a sculptural jewelry form. The text on the pendant “Glory to Ukraine!” is a Ukrainian national salute. It is often accompanied by the response “Glory to the heroes!” — which corresponds to the pendant with the Archangel Michael. I think these two pendants can form a meaningful combination for “her” and “him”. They turned out quite unique, so I hope that they will be appreciated both as jewelry and as symbolic objects that reflect Ukrainian sovereignty and resistance in the struggle for independence. | …the images below show some simple renderings of the sculptural model from my ZBrush workspace
(usually, the model details are much better visible in the standard shader, so I often include such images alongside the main artistic renders) |

| I made a 3D printed version of this pendant for myself as a small reference piece (a decoration for my workshop).
The size is about twice the original. *** By the way, this project also shows one of the key advantages of digital sculpting — the ability to produce a model in a fairly wide range of sizes. Unlike a traditional sculpture made of clay or wax, a digital model can be scaled without losing its form or details. |
