Snake Rings — Sculptural Variations

Two custom snake rings made of silver, developed for the Van–Arnold Jewelry workshop.

This project explores two different approaches to the same idea. One ring has a fixed size and is built as a closed form, fully sculptural, with a continuous scale texture across the entire surface.

The second version is an open construction. It works more like a spring, allowing slight adjustment of size by expanding or compressing the form. In contrast, its surface is completely smooth, focusing more on the flow of the line rather than texture.

Both rings follow the same concept, but the result is quite different in terms of structure, surface, and overall feel.
