Mercedes Ignition Key 3D Model for Precision Jewelry FittingThis model was created primarily as a basis for modeling jewelry decoration — previously published work titled “Geisha”. The 3D model of the key was developed based on 3D scan data and photographic references. Although the scan quality at the time was quite limited, it provided accurate proportions and overall dimensions, which were carefully refined and reconstructed during the modeling process. The main goal was to achieve a highly precise digital replica of the original key, suitable for designing custom-fitted silver covers with exact alignment and contact surfaces. Special attention was given to small structural details, surface transitions, and dimensional accuracy to ensure the model could be reliably used in real production. August, 2011 |
