The Story…
This sculpture continues the idea that began with the Sunflower — exploring familiar natural forms through a more symbolic and sculptural language.
In Ukrainian tradition, the mallow is more than a flower. It is part of the visual identity of the home — something deeply rooted in memory, atmosphere, and a sense of place.
I wanted to reinterpret this image as a tactile, expressive form — something that exists both as an object and as a quiet presence within an interior.
In its sculptural character, the mallow naturally echoes the form of the hibiscus — they belong to the same botanical family — yet here it is approached not as a botanical study, but as a stylized, almost ornamental symbol.

In this version, the sculpture is expressed through a restrained palette — white and gold — allowing the form and texture to become the primary focus.
