Rearing horse sculpture, dynamic digital model with flowing mane and expressive base, captured in a moment of upward motion

Rearing Horse Sculpture — Dynamic Form and Expressive Motion

This rearing horse sculpture is an original author work focused on movement, balance, and expressive form, later translated into a 3D printed figurine for interior decor and collectors of modern sculpture

The figure is captured at the peak of motion — rising upward with tension and energy, yet remaining controlled and balanced.
The lifted posture, flowing mane, and shifting weight create a sense of continuous movement, as if the form is still unfolding in space.

Particular attention was given to anatomy and structure, allowing the sculpture to feel both dynamic and physically convincing.

Rather than depicting a specific moment, the work explores the idea of motion itself — a transition between stillness and action.

The digital sculpture was developed with a high level of detail, making it suitable for both smaller collectible pieces and larger sculptural objects.

Each project is approached as a complete sculptural work, developed from the initial form to the final expression with attention to detail, structure, and character.

From Digital Sculpture to Physical Form

This sculpture was translated from a digital model into a physical object through 3D printing, preserving the original form, movement, and sculptural detail.

Different material and color approaches were explored — from multi-tone prints to a monochrome white version that emphasizes form, light, and surface.

Each variation reveals a different aspect of the sculpture, from expressive contrast to a more classical, almost plaster-like presence.

White Version — Focus on Form and Light

The white version highlights the pure sculptural qualities — form, proportion, and the flow of movement — resembling a classical plaster study.

Process and Physical Production

The physical piece requires careful post-processing after printing — removing supports, refining surfaces, and preserving fine sculptural details.

This stage is essential, as it transforms the raw print into a finished object while maintaining the integrity of the original form.

One of the key advantages of digital sculpture is scalability.

The same work can be produced in different sizes — from a compact collectible piece to a larger statement object — without losing proportion, detail, or character.

This flexibility allows the sculpture to adapt to different spaces and contexts.

This version of the sculpture is finished in a deep black tone, emphasizing silhouette, contrast, and sculptural presence.

Larger Scale — Real Interior Example

This is a real 3D printed version of the sculpture at a larger scale — approximately 325 mm in height, finished in a bronze-like tone.

Photographed in a real interior setting, it shows how the piece interacts with space, light, and surrounding objects.

The increased size enhances the sense of presence, allowing the sculpture to function as a more dominant interior object.
