Halloween Pumpkin Character — Expressive Sculptural Design

This piece started as a playful idea.

I wanted to create a character that looks a bit scary at first…
but the longer you look at it, the more you realize it’s not actually trying to scare you.

He’s acting.

Like a kid on Halloween — trying to be terrifying,
but clearly enjoying the performance.

That mix of emotion became the core of this sculpture.

The stretched hands, the tense pose, the expression — everything is slightly exaggerated, almost theatrical.

It’s not horror.

It’s a character.

This sculpture was designed with a physical form in mind from the very beginning.
