Feather Sculptural Ring

Rings with a Feather. Sculptural jewelry design.

The concept is built around a feather lightly touching the surface, creating a sense of soft movement — as if the form reacts to contact and spreads outward.

I made this design in two variations.
One is more minimal, with a clean ring profile and subtle flowing transitions across the surface.
The other develops this idea further, introducing a ripple effect — as if the feather touches water and gentle waves expand outward, continuing even into the inner surface of the ring.

The form is intentionally expressive and not strictly everyday.
The elevated feather element creates a more sculptural silhouette, which may interact with clothing or movement.
At the same time, all transitions are carefully softened, and the edges of the feather are refined to maintain a comfortable interaction with the hand.

The surface is built with smooth, fluid transitions that catch light softly, creating a calm reflective behavior rather than sharp highlights.

From a production perspective, the design is well suited for standard high-resolution 3D printing or casting workflows, without requiring highly specialized equipment.

This makes it possible to clearly read how the feather, the ripple variation, and the inner surface are built as a continuous sculptural system.
