Cross Ring — Ceramic and GoldThis ring was designed while I was working at the Van–Arnold Jewelry workshop. The concept combines different materials and construction elements into a single piece. The main body is designed in ceramic (or metal with enamel finish), while the cross detail and inner structure are separate metal parts. Inside, a patterned mesh with cut-out cross shapes follows the form of the ring. It reduces weight, improves comfort, and works as a visible decorative element rather than something hidden. The inner profile uses a European shank, with a slightly rounded interior that makes the ring more comfortable to wear. The outer surface is faceted, so the ring reacts to light — reflections change as it moves. — March 2019 — |

The video below shows how the faceted surface interacts with light as the ring rotates, highlighting the geometry and reflections. |
